Partner Sync is here

Hello again. It has been a busy few weeks here at Pocket Treasures, and we wanted to write and tell you what we have been working on. As always, everything we build starts from the same place: helping your family hold on to the moments that matter, without ever asking you to hand over your photos or your privacy. This update is one we have wanted to make for a very long time.

The big one is Partner Sync. Until now your adventures lived on your own phone, which was wonderful for privacy but meant that if you and your partner were both out with the children, only one of you could keep the record. From now on you can connect with your partner so that anything either of you adds appears automatically on both phones. It all happens through iCloud, so your memories never leave Apple's ecosystem and never pass through us. Setting it up takes a moment. One of you creates a link, sends it across, and from then on both phones stay quietly in step. Mum logs the morning walk, you add the afternoon at the beach, and you both end the day with the whole story in one place.

We have also given the activity recording screen a proper rethink, and renamed it Start Adventure to match how it actually feels to use. There is now a horizontal carousel for choosing your activity, so you can flick through and land on the right one in a second. A live GPS map shows where you are before you head off, which is quietly reassuring when you are setting out somewhere new. You can give your adventure a name if you fancy it, and the start button is cleaner now, showing your chosen activity underneath so you always know exactly what you are about to begin.

For those of you waiting on photo books, there is good news too. You can now preview your book and see exactly how it will look before you order, with your photos and notes laid out page by page. Ordering itself is not far away. We are working hard on it and will let you know the moment it is ready.

Beneath all of that we have done a fair bit of tidying up. The app launches faster, it feels steadier in everyday use, and we have fixed the photo book preview that had been crashing for some of you. Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell us about it.
